Pastoral Care

FICS has a pastoral system centred around our House system which helps build a sense of belonging and tradition for students. Students are in tutor groups organised by House: Shackleton, Fitzroy, and Ross. We have a Head of KS3 and a Head of KS4 who oversee the tutor teams. They are supported by the Curriculum Leaders in Maths, English, Science and PSHCE, to create a tutor programme which supports students in all areas of learning. Within tutor time, students also engage in House events and competitions. Tutors are the first port of call for parents if there are any concerns. Tutors develop strong relationships with their tutees and see them twice daily. They are focusing on students' wellbeing, organisation, and progress.
